Technical Lecture 09 January 2020 – Mega Structures
Presented by Saleem Ahmad
Prelude FLNG is the world’s first full-scale Floating LNG. Having a displacement of 600,000 TDW, Prelude is also the largest floating structure in the world. It is currently moored in the Browse Basin, approximately 475km north-northeast of Broome in Western Australia.
The approach to Prelude was to design a facility for safety, longevity, applicability over a wide range of anticipated feed gas compositions and met-ocean conditions and along with high reliability and availability.
